Mission Statement The Art Center of Corpus Christi is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization, chartered in 1972. The Art Center is dedicated to the purpose of promoting an awareness and appreciation of local and regional artists: to provide exhibit space as well as space for meetings, workshops, and classes: supporting an educational venue for community outreach projects that raise awareness of the rich cultural and artistic resources available in the Coastal Bend. The Art Center of Corpus Christi is an umbrella organization, home to 14 diverse local art groups and over 500 independent members (those not affiliated with a group). The facility brings together three pleasures: viewing art in its spacious galleries, shopping in the gift shop and artists’ studios, and dining in the restaurant. Our facilities also include three workshops for art classes and meetings, a mat cutting room, plus a fully equipped clay studio. Exhibits in the Meadows Gallery, Kucera Gallery, Members Gallery, Lockett Gallery, Bayview Gallery as well as the Hall/Lobby Gallery change monthly. Admission is free to the public. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.
